Well, I have to admit that I was eagerly waiting for this movie which was looking so interesting by its trailers, the animation produced by DreamWorks is always so detailed and amazing that one cannot even in his/her dreams take eyes off any screen frame without thinking about its beauty. Well this AniCom was almost illustrated based on a book under the same name written by Marla Frazee (got this info online, although i would love to have a look at it myself if gotten a chance) anyway, not to mention the Animation was directed by our well known awesome Tom McGrath who also happened to direct Megamind, which was a superb movie.
These all things in combination had raised the bars for me curiosity to see this movie. But it was disappointing, quite a lot, the story was short and stretched. Animation was excellent although but it somehow missed the spark of DreamWorks. Though some scenes are “cuteness overload”, it could have been written a bit more interestingly by Michael McCullers, who is also writing on the script of Hotel Transylvania 3, oooh boy for which I am truly waiting although its a long wait till July ’18.
Well, the movie stars the voices of Alec Baldwin as the title character, along with Miles Bakshi, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel,Lisa Kudrow, and Tobey Maguire. The story is based on the war between “cuteness” of Babies & Puppies, shown that people are more interested to adopt a Puppy rather than having their own children. The Bad character creates a Forever Cute Young Staying Puppy, hence, wiping out the idea to have babies (according to the movie), using the milk formula which the lead character and the other management babies have to stay babies forever.
So, My Rating for this goes to 😊😊😊
One smiley extra for the Animation.
One less to make it boring at some point.
One less for ruining people’s expectations.
